Terms of service
Last updated 16 October 2026.
1. The service
ScreenMate provides a Chrome extension and web application that turn browser recordings into editable guides. Recording works only in supported desktop Chromium browsers on ordinary web pages; we do not promise that every website, embedded frame or application can be recorded.
2. Your content
You own the guides and images you create. You grant us the permission needed to store, process and display them to you and to people you choose to share them with. You are responsible for having the right to record and share the content, including anything belonging to your clients, and for redacting information that must not be shared.
3. Acceptable use
- No recording of other people’s accounts without permission, no unlawful content, no malware, no attempts to access other workspaces.
- Public and unlisted links may be rate-limited to protect the service.
- We may remove content that breaks these terms or the law and may suspend accounts used to abuse the service.
4. Plans, limits and billing
Plan limits (guides, steps, storage, AI actions, creators) are described on the pricing page and enforced by the service. Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled; see the cancellation and refund policy. Prices may change with at least 30 days’ notice for existing subscribers.
5. Availability and support
ScreenMate is provided as is. We work to keep it available and to keep backups, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service and recommend exporting important guides. Support is by email.
6. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including losses caused by content in guides.
7. Termination
You can delete your account at any time. We may terminate accounts that break these terms. On termination, content is deleted in line with the retention policy on the pricing page.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Nothing in them removes consumer rights you have under local law.
